Welcome to the Lancashire Branch of Unison

Strike Day Around the County

County Hall, Preston

It's raining but they are still smiling.

Accrington Library Picket

Accrington Library Picket

Although Accrington Library did open its doors to the public a dedicated picket stood through the wind and rain to get our message across to the public.

The Greenbank Street Picket

Greenbank Street Picket

Although it was very windy and wet members turned out to support the cause and only four workers crossed the picket line. Lets hope our action today makes Mr Prescott sit up and take notice - if he does not then leave him in no doubt that feelings are running deep here and there will be support for further action if there is no hope of a reasonable and fair settlement in respect of our pension.
All the very best from members at Greenbank St.

Some serious respect is due to this picket! Staff from St. Mary Magdalene's School in Burnley stood on this picket in the freezing rain from 7:00 am right through to 3:00pm. Outstanding work ladies!
